Grief is heavy—you don’t have to carry it alone
There is a reason our tradition teaches that we need a minyan–a community–in order to say the mourner’s Kaddish. Mourning is holy work, and it is work best done with others. At Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, we are here for one another.
Here’s what you can expect:
- When you fill out the emergency form, someone from the synagogue will be in touch as soon as we are able.
- You’ll get a call from a member of our clergy who will offer both pastoral (emotional) care and help you think about the pragmatic choices and tasks you face.
- Clergy will work with you to plan the memorial service and the shiva arrangements.
- After the funeral, members of BHC Cares will invite you to join the Bereavement Support group, if that would be helpful.
